Group Finance
Women-Led Savings Groups —
Stronger Together
Our Self-Help Group model is a proven community finance framework where
10 to 20 women come together, save collectively, build a group corpus,
and support each other through responsible borrowing and transparent
group governance.
Each group elects its own president, treasurer, and secretary.
Meetings are held regularly, records are maintained openly, and every
member has an equal voice. Group savings create internal lending
capacity and qualify the group for larger Bharosa Foundation loan programmes.

Collective Savings
Members pool regular contributions to build a group savings corpus that grows over time and earns interest for the whole group.
Transparent Records
Every rupee collected, lent, and repaid is recorded in a group ledger maintained by the elected treasurer and verified at every meeting.
Internal Lending
Groups can lend from their own corpus to individual members for small needs at group-decided interest, keeping the benefit within the group.
Loan Eligibility
After demonstrating consistent savings and meeting management, groups qualify for larger Bharosa Foundation-backed loan programmes.
Financial Literacy
Our field officers provide ongoing financial literacy training, helping members understand savings, loans, interest, and budgeting.
Leadership Development
Women develop confidence, communication, and financial management skills through elected roles, public speaking, and collective decision-making.
